We’re recruiting a new person to our administrative team to help us give great service to the patients and clinical staff in our 8000 patient surgery. For the right applicants we offer a good working environment and full training

Essential requirements
- Excellent customer service skills - great with people
- Highly methodical and good attention to detail – both written and numerical
- Able to learn new skills and processes
- Good attitude and timekeeping
- Ability to solve problems
- Able to learn to use our patient record computer system
- Able to work according to business need between 8.00am and 6.30pm Mon to Fri. Occasionally you will start at 7am or finish at 8pm or help with a Saturday flu clinic
Desirable requirements
- Experience working in a busy office environment
- Experience using EMIS Web
- Experience working in healthcare
Duties:
To undertake all patient service duties as required by the Patient Care Coordinator to a high standard.
- Reception desk – dealing with patient queries
- Taking inbound and making outbound phone calls
- Managing incoming and outgoing post and faxes and texts
- Processing prescriptions
- Processing registrations
- Scanning, coding
- Summarising
- Liaise with clinical staff
- Other administrative processes as requested by the Practice Manager or deputy
- Searches and reports
- Call and recall
