How to get help
Opening times: Monday to Friday 08.00 - 18.30. Call 0151 317 8599
if you have a minor condition please visit your chemist for advice.
The easiest way to get help is to call us between 08.00 am and 9.30 am. The receptionist will ask you about your problem - this helps us get you the right help more quickly. If you can't get through at 8 am please try a bit later - we normally still have slots up to 9.30. If 'phoning is inconvenient you can send us an e-consult. You can also call in to the surgery to ask for a phone appointment.
A GP or Advanced Nurse Practitioner will ring you in the morning to give you advice, and if they need to see you they will ask you to come in to the surgery.
If you arrive 10 minutes or more after an appointment time you may be asked to re-book your appointment as the doctor or nurse may be unable to see you. If you are unable to attend or think you will be late, please cancel so another patient can use your appointment.
Home visit are only possible if you are housebound and deemed necessary by the doctor.
We might book you an extended hours appointment at Belle Vale, or at Childwall Fiveways Health Centre, South Liverpool Treatment Centre, Abercromby Family Practice or Townsend Lane Neighbourhood Health Centre between 5pm and 9pm Mon to Friday.
For immediate, life-threatening emergencies, call 999
Call 111 if:
- you need medical help quickly but it's not 999
- you think you need to go to A&E or need another NHS urgent care service
- you don't know who to call or you don't have a GP
- you need health information or reassurance about what to do
NHS 111 is staffed by fully trained advisers, supported by experienced nurses and paramedics. They will give you healthcare advice or direct you straightaway to A&E, an out-of-hours doctor, an urgent care centre or a walk-in centre, a community nurse, an emergency dentist or a late-opening chemist.
If they think you need an ambulance, they will sent one to you. Calls to 111 are recorded and will only be shared with others directly involved with your care.
